We are accepting applications for the Stony Brook LEND Program for graduate students, post-graduate level students, professionals, self-advocates, and family members to become Long-Term Trainees (LTTs) for the 2023-2024 academic year. Ten LTTs will be selected to complete the program with a stipend awarded.  Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applications for LTTs include a completed application form, short essays, letter of reference, and a resume/CV.

LONG-TERM TRAINEE (LTT) INFORMATIONAL SHEET

    Interviews for top-ranked LTT applicants will be conducted in May-June 2023, and selected trainees will be notified of their status by late June 2023.

Timeline

The Stony Brook LEND program will occur from August 30, 2023, through May 30, 2024. Trainees will apply each spring and be selected in advance of the Fall Semester. All training activities will take place between the beginning of September and the end of May.

Didactic sessions will take place on Monday evenings (in-person and virtual). Clinical rotations, research experiences, policy opportunities, and other placements will be arranged in collaboration with the LEND Core Faculty.
